Read To Learn Skillpacks

Skillpacks are mini lesson plans for adult literacy students. They are meant to be used by a tutor working with his/her student(s). They can also be used by the students alone. These lessons are taken from everyday living situations. Through a grant from the State of Illinois, and ICCB, we are pleased to bring many of our skillpacks to the internet. They are available for you to print and use with your students/tutors at any time. We have converted a hand full of skillpacks to an interactive page, where students can answer the post-reading questions and see the answers online. The following skillpacks listed on the left side are in PDF form. The skillpacks listed on the right side are in HTML form which is interactive. You must have Adobe Acrobat software installed in your computer to be able to view the skillpacks in PDF form, save them to your computer, and print them. It's very easy to install, and best of all, it's free. If you do not already have Adobe Reader installed, go to the link (click on the Adobe logo below) and just follow their instructions to install Adobe's Reader program.
